ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Erik Sundquist is the Owner of Sundquist Associates, an award winning custom home building and remodeling firm specializing in high quality renovations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Erik is a lifelong veteran of the home building and remodeling business. As a child, his father would have him dig ditches, clean-up jobs and nail roofs on holidays and summer breaks just so he could know what it was like to build a house literally from the ground up. It was then that Erik vowed never to follow in his father's footsteps, but fate had other plans!

Although Erik graduated with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley, his aspirations for a career in law were superseded by the lure of the experiences of his upbringing; the smell of sawdust and the sound of hammers rapping.

In 1995 Erik took over the management of Sundquist Associates, what was then a 30 year old family business. His vast experience in both the technical and management sides of construction have guided him to share his experiences with hose who would learn from his experiences, mistakes, and successes.
